Board of Directors

Chetan Patel, Chairman of the Board / Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Patel co-founded Adaptive, a software-consulting firm with two other founders in 1998. It has grown to over 52 employees and $18M in revenue. In addition, while at Adaptive, Mr. Patel led the strategic acquisition of NSSI, a hardware procurement solution. Prior to Adaptive, Mr. Patel worked for Health Partners as Director of Information Technology. Mr. Patel has also worked as a Senior System Technical Specialist at QVC and Technical Resource Staffer at GMAC Mortgage. While at QVC, Mr. Patel partnered with Microsoft to develop an Internet e-commerce system that allowed customers to purchase goods over the Internet (first in the industry). Finally Mr. Patel developed a deep knowledge of finance and accounting as an auditor with Lashner, Rush, and Associates and American Stores. Mr. Patel graduated from Temple University with a BBA in Computer Science and Accounting.

Michael Bolton, Managing Director of PA Early Stage
In September 1997, Michael G. Bolton co-founded and became the CEO of PA Early Stage Partners. He has over 20 years of early stage investment experience in working with entrepreneurs and emerging technology companies. Prior to establishing PA Early Stage Partners, Mr. Bolton was the founding Chief Executive Officer of the nationally recognized Ben Franklin Technology Center at Lehigh University. He was also the co-founder of the successful NEPA I (1985) and NEPA II (1993) venture capital funds, now known as the Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds. Mr. Bolton has both a BA and MBA from Lehigh University. After graduating from Lehigh, he held various systems engineering and sales positions at RCA. Mr. Bolton re-joined his alma mater in 1972 to start the University's corporate and foundation relations program and went on to become Vice President for Development and University Relations. While at Lehigh, Mr. Bolton's group raised more than $500 million for the University and formed strong relationships with major corporations and business leaders. Mr. Bolton currently serves on the boards of several PA Early Stage portfolio companies, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Wharton School's Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Pennsylvania.

David Rae, Officer / Director
Most recently, Mr. Rae was director of advanced technology initiatives for Norwest Mortgage. In this position, he served as chief architect for Norwest's Connectivity project, the industry's largest customer self-service internet initiative. Prior to Norwest, Mr. Rae was a Principal Architect with GMAC Mortgage where, among other achievements, he implemented the industry's first web site. He also led one of the first implementations of Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter. Mr. Rae's technical competence has led to a number of technical recognitions including being featured in IBM's web products video, being quoted in a number of technical publications, and publishing technical articles on internet development in magazines such as Web Builder. Mr. Rae graduated with a BS in Engineering Physics and a Masters in Nuclear Engineering from Cornell University.

William Adamowski, Chairman
Mr. Adamowski was chief technology officer for a division of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and chief information officer for GMAC Mortgage. Mr. Adamowski was also a senior manager with Deloitte Touche's management consulting practice, focusing almost exclusively on technology strategies for clients such as General Motors, UPS and First Union Bank. Mr. Adamowski started his career at GTE as a software engineer and later as a software development manager for Cendant Corp. While getting his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Syracuse University, Mr. Adamowski paid for most of his tuition by founding ATEK Consulting, where he helped implement technology for local businesses.
